Let's shower in the banana patch!

Maybe you need more privacy?
The black tank on top warms the water in the sun.

"Privacy and security are those things you give up
when you show the world what makes you extraordinary."

Margaret Cho

"Publication is a self-invasion of privacy."

Marshall McLuhan

See how the Banana leaves unfold?
Banana trees are actually giant grasses, not trees.

"All our progress is an unfolding, like the vegetable bud,
you have first an instinct, then an opinion,
then a knowledge, as the plant has root, bud and fruit.
Trust the instinct to the end, though you can render no reason."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

See how this fern is unfolding as well?
How does it know how to grow all wrapped up like that?

"Each of us is born with the potential for the unfolding of our true self.
When you deviate from the truth, you are interfering with the intention
of something greater than you are-
call it nature or a higher power.
As a result, you develop discomfort."

Annonymous

My wish for you this Sunday?
Privacy
to share as you will
and a peaceful
exultation.

I remember when I was taught that the banana tree was really a giant grass. Incredible.

Your photos are gorgeous, Cloudia.

Great pics. Could the folded leaf of the last one be an ants'nest? I saw ants'nests in Australia, which looked a bit like this one.
Aloha, Cloudia!

Great captures Cloudia, as always. And the quoatations are thought provoking. I like the banana patch shower, it reminded me of the province where I came from.

Self unfolding of the leaves is simply fascinating.

Salaam my friend.

I miss outdoor showers, one of my favorite things about spending time on the beach. I had the pleasure of learning about them first in the Virgin Islands one trip long ago in another life. I learned to shower in the afternoon when the water, and I, had heated from the sun.

Love the outdoor showers!! I want one for my backyard..once(in my misspsent youth) I was in Santa Cruz, California and at the home of some folks who had an outdoor bath in the backyard..a small rustic building with an open ceiling (so you could see the clouds)..the tub was huge and completely lined in smooth flat stones from a river. It had plants and candles and all things serene and wonderful.. I always vowed to have one myself some day...maybe this year?? lol
