Up in the Rigging

Aloha, Summer Sailor!

We're up the bowsprit!

“Then the bowsprit got mixed with the rudder sometimes.”

Great view from up here.

“People love to step out on a deck

and not see anyone or anything except a great view.

Even if the only view is the vast sky,

the feeling people get is expansion and relaxation.”

Amanda Sturges

I can look down on my neighbors' "roofs."

Look!

I'm climbing around the boat like a monkey-

Thank you, pain,

for teaching me how

WONDERFUL

it is just to be mobile

and pain-free.

Wheeeeee!

Thanks for visiting!

Aloha.

Oh I would so love to be on water in the city. It is nice to be in the remote but I would much, much prefer to be in the hustle and bustle of a city. Beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing, please share more:)

Expansion and relaxation are good!!! I will have to scroll back in your blog to understand what you mean by 'pain-free'. Glad you are pain-free and hope you remain so.

I'm just catching up on my blogging, and oh my goodness, I love looking at the photos on your blog. But I've missed the part about the pain. I'm so glad you are now pain free...!

I just wanted to mention that your thoughts on retirement were meaningful and moving. Many hit this stage of life without being prepared mentally or financially. I wish everybody a bit of luck to come up on the good side of things. I hope to one day too.

Some things feel good to shout about from the rooftops, though! Shouting from rooftops is not always about boasting, right? ;-)

Greetings from The River!

Cloudia,

Edunacate me...how common is it to LIVE on a boat. Are thrie Taxes, or just Marina fees? Power..can I go back to archives and find this out!

It is soooo freakin' cool!

Aloha, and I LOVE that the back pain is gone--I'm gonna post a funny story about mine! Not a competition- but a FUNNY story..the way the wife tells it! On the couch for three days--which is where I ALWAYS am--so what was the difference--well I'll tell ya.

Stay tuned,

John
