Morning Sand

ALOHA !

Every morning,
the sand is beautifully prepared
for the day!

It's fun to walk on. . .

It doesn't stay that way for long. . .

In fact, it quickly gets interesting . . .

But who is this early Zen artist?

Ah! The Barber Surf Rake!
I like to call it the "Sand-Boni."
See more about it  HERE

Zamboni info  HERE

What a beauty!

The birds LOVE it!

I didn't know seaweed naturally came onto the beach (and could be smelly,) until I was told about the sand-boni. I must've thought the ocean made the nice smooth beach with it's waves when people were sleeping....DrumMajor

So utterly calming, beautiful.
sunrise, sitting facing the sea on this beautiful zen garden, and the birds adding their own caligraphy. Meditation. Ah, you truly live in Paradise.
Now I'm going back to read about sand-boni.

Love those Zamboni smoothers. That was a favorite part of the Jersey Devils hockey games I enjoyed the most. Watching the Zamboni - sure woulda liked to drive one.

I love that sand-boni! Must be a wonderful job being out there early and making those marks.

I loved this post Claudia...it is a little like that here in the winter only the wind and clouds are our "snowboni" and our dog and forest creatures create the textured printing:-)
thank you so much for all of your kind messages, it means so much to hear from blogging friends even when I'm too tired to write back.

Wow, a beautiful sandy beach for an early morning stroll. I love to draw on the sand too, and watch the tide erase the pictures for me.

This is one of my all time favourites of your posts. Love the raked sand, love the gradual increase in prints by a variety of beings. Mega thanks.

Love those bird tracks and the term sand-boni. :)

I love your pictures of the tracks in the sand - human, machine and wildlife. When we visit Virginia Beach in October we always see the machine that rakes the sand. I will always think of it as the sand-boni from now on :) Have a great week Cloudia.

When I get the chance, damn rare this summer, I like to walk my favorite beach, Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and look at the grooves in the out-going tide carved in the sand.

Great pictures!
