GROWTH- within the context

A  L  O  H  A !

" It is a rough road
 that leads to the heights
of greatness. "

Seneca

" Smooth seas
do not make for
 a skillful sailor. "

African Proverb

" [our] theory does not suggest
 that there is an
 absence of suffering
 as wisdom builds,
 but rather
 that appreciable growth
 occurs
 within the context
 of pain and loss.

In fact, some measure of
significant distress
 may be necessary
for growth to occur - "

  (Butler et al., 2005)

Don't think I'd want to fly in that neon plane. So, what are we supposed to guess is happening with your ending frills of everflowing "69696969696969696969"s? The fish I get; is this a numnerical centipede? DrumMajor

A life at sea is not the life for me matey. Though I'd look cool with a captain's hat.

I like the plane. And it's so true that wisdom does not eliminate suffering. Have a great week end.

In a strange sort of way I do believe we have to experience 'bad things' sometimes to strengthen our beliefs. Well I do know that it's only a few minutes away from Saturday here Cloudia, but I'm hoping that you will still be enjoying your Friday for some time yet!

Pain is necessary for growth, but too much pain stifles it. I guess it's like the rest of life, not quite fair or predictable, and different for each person.
