What Are People REALLY Like?

A L O H A !
If you look at the news,
and nothing but the "news"
you probably think
humankind
has gone mad.

Here are a fewer than
 2 minutes
of security video
from around the world.

I believe it reveals
quite a lot
about US:

What do YOU see?
A vandalized Banana Tree?
Would it change your view
to know that bananas are not trees,
but giant grasses?
Once the bunch is mature,
the plant is finished;
New plant grows
from the roots.
The old plant
is knocked down
to fertilize the new life.

"To understand all
is to forgive all."

Try to have
a positive view
of your self
and of others.

That is one definition
of mental health
& Happiness!

Allow yourself to think:
"Maybe things are better
than I thought."

Keep an open mind. Ignorance is so often the reason for intolerance, fear of your fellow man and aggression.

Knowledge will bring enlightenment.

Things are better when we open our eyes and become one with where we are. I try to stay away from the news though. This video sums it up- wake-up, walk-out and join in people, it's a wonderful world!

I've seen the video before and have watched it a few times. It reminds me a an program in the elementary school when my kids were young. It was call Catch a Child (Doing Something Good). Teachers and other staff members.. even parent volunteers would take note of and reward the kids who were seen displaying good behaviour.. whether it was problem resolution, an act of kindness or significant improvement in their schoolwork. We're a society that is quick to point out what's wrong. It's nice to know that there are those who focus on the good.

Claudia, I LOVE the video and yes, I believe that not far beneath the surface.. and often ON the surface as well as deep down inside, it is the nature of human beings to be kind. Sometimes things get confused and messed up along the way, but mostly we are good at heart.

Thanks for sharing this heart warming video:-)

No video to be seen here. Just the same, I agree with your other comments - ignorance feeds and promotes fear. A sadness.
Lovely post - as always. Thank you.
