As You Once Did

A L O H A !
DO Listen [Trust Me]
" If
you pass
by the colour purple
 in a field
and don't notice it,
God gets
real pissed off. "

Alice Walker

" Are not flowers
 the stars of the earth,
 and are not our stars
 the flowers
 of the heaven? "

A.J. Balfour

" All objects lose
 by too familiar
 a view. "

John Dryden

What Familiar person,
thing, or situation
do YOU no longer
appreciate
as you once did?

Is it Yourself?

" If seeds

in the black earth

 can turn into such

 beautiful roses,

 what might not

 the heart of man become

 in its long journey

 toward the stars?  "

G.K. Chesterton

Love those quotes, especially the G. K. Chesterson one. Believe me, I'll notice those purple flowers in the future.

Lovely flowers, some of life's gifts.

Peace and aloha! Have a smooth ride today.

In truth I really do like me. It's some thoughts/people/situations I let in which aren't important and must be evicted, now. Like, Keeping up with the Joneses! I stopped years ago...a very wise choice. If it's important to me, it must be meaningful somewhere else as well, right?

Flowers and stars, what beautiful things God speckles around us.
There are probably so many things I don't appreciate as I once did. But there are many I appreciate more and more as time passes. Family, friends, nature, my dogs. I'm grateful. Your quotes and pics - I appreciate them too, more each day. Thank you Cloudia.

Each of your comments are like blossoms dropping on me from the winds of the whole world!

Thanks very much Each :-)

I have never appreciated myself!

On a lighter note: I hardly ever fully appreciate the beauty of the countryside around me.

Like Friko, I have never appreciated myself. And think that some of the world's problems stem from people who appreciate themselves rather too well.
I love your flowers - and the linkage to the stars. Thank you.

I love portulaca. I planted some, but soon it will go the way of my plants, frozen in winter.
It's been a chilly day.
I've enjoyed your quotes.

I heard the pink flowers (and they are many colors of them) are called "10 o'clock flowers". They blossom when the sun rises and sleeps towards the afternoon/evening/night until the next morning sun rise !

Thanks EACH of You

I really love the akulekule plant. I suppose part of it is because I do love the color purple. Have a great Sunday, Cloudia.

I notice purple; it's Kansas State University's color! Everything is purple: the bleacher seats, even the trash bins throughout town. DrumMajor
