MY MURAL

A L O H A !
Tawanka Learning Center [formerly Elementary School]
Link

When I was a kid in school,
this NEWER school came along.
We would be the first kids to attend it!

In the months it was being built,
we created the mural you see above
in the cafetorium of our "old" school.
We glued tiles to a giant paper drawing.

The mural we created is still there.
The kids we were
are harder to see.

Thank You!

I suspect the kids are still there too. Hidden perhaps, but definitely hanging in.

How great to have had a hand in creating a mural. It's a wonderful composition. And obviously the experience stuck with you. That's the best outcome you could hope for from art. Thanks, Cloudia, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

That's a great mural. Wonder if the other artists grew to their potential like you have.

How neat to be able to go back and relive a small part of your childhood. The animals, esp the elephant, are really cute.

How fantastic Cloudia.. must bring back many happy memories when you see you creative handiwork.. another similarity in our lives, before my two started at the new school being built, parents were asked to draw ideas for a new school emblem.. my sister in law and I sketched a Kookaburra that is still the emblem today ALL these years later :)

So glad you friends enjoyed seeing my mural. Seems to me I was working on one of the dwellings. Yes, they do look like elephants! Maybe I was in an elephant phase, LOL

THANKS, Dears!
