My Naughty Dreams of Girlhood

A  L  O  H  A !
Club Hubba Hubba, Hotel St. Honolulu

When I was little,
riding in the back,

we often passed
 a neon sign

of a woman lounging in
a giant champagne glass.

When I was VERY
little, her leg
even kicked
through the magic
of neon.

My secret was
that I wanted to
grow up to BE
that woman!

You can read about
my adventures
in "Show Business"
in my semi-autobiographical
novel
"Aloha Where You Like Go?
Driving from Survival to
Satisfaction in a
Honolulu Taxi"

The book cover
at the top right corner
of this blog, is a link
to the Kindle Ebook version!
Read it on the beach.

Warmly, Your Painted Lady -

No beach available, had to read it on the concrete of my front porch. Of course I had to read it in my smoking spot, A story of what one must do to become a part of a completely new and different place.

Growing up in the country and going to school in a small town, I never saw neon until I was probably in my teens.

Mark Twain might have said a place like that would be the sort you'd look at what's going on with your hands over your eyes--- but peeking through your fingers.

In China they love neons, in the evening everything just changes.

The spirit of your being is still kicking the leg up high out of the champagne glass! Is that neon sign and show still in Honolulu? Please find the show and review of naked men for my next trip, but those authentically trained male hula dancers are HOT. Interesting to learn that the guys did the hula dancing first.
Rowdy at heart, rowdy for real. DrumMajor

I love that story. Makes me think of my daughter. She wanted to be the lady in red in the Irish dance musical Lord of the Dance for years. Whenever we went shoe shopping, she had to try on whatever stilettoes were there!
