A Buddhist Mission

A  L  O  H  A  from   Honolulu!

Every day, thousands
of Honolulu drivers
pass by this sweet
off Pali Hwy.
[I'm unable to find, share her name]
She is emblematic
of many such
throughout Hawaii that
speak of our immigrant
and plantation history,
Note the CARP banners
flying to celebrate the
Boy's Day season.

Such a cute, quaint little building, and I had to read up on the boys and girls celebration, really neat and fun for all. I like your new blog photo, one of my faves that semi-private beach I think you called it!

Yes, Sally, it is a temple for services.

This is such a lovely place, Cloudia. I totally forgot about Boys Day. Thank you for the reminder so I can wish my son a happy day. I've been rather out of it lately for a whole host of things taking up my time.

Quite a striking building, and rather outside my cultural experience.
