The moon is alive
because of the darkness-
how could we ever be afraid
of something that gives
the stars a home?

True silence is the
rest of the mind;
it is to the spirit
what sleep is to
the body, nourishment
and refreshment.
William Penn
Birds sing after a storm;
why shouldn't people feel
as free to delight in
whatever sunlight
remains to them?

Today,
I woke with nothing to fix.
Just the gift
Of morning
Clear
And enough.
Night rain washed
Old worries away.
In the hush before light,
Feeling like a better day.
Voices of the waking drift
With sparrows in the dawn—
Near and far
A gentleness is felt
Optimism
To which I'm drawn.
Outside leaves
Turn toward sun.
Their world is simple
Green, gold, important
And fun. 💚

ReplyDeleteI like the Moon and the Sun in your pictures - kind of reminds we just live on a big ball rushing through space! Cheers - Stewart M, Wilsons Prom National Park, Victoria
