A L O H A From

There is no sport equal to that
which aviators enjoy
while being carried
through the air on
great white wings.
Wilbur Wright,
1905
One way can be learned
by starting to see the
magic in everything.
Sometimes it seems to be hiding
but it is always there.
The more we can see the magic
in one thing, a tiny flower, a
mango, someone we love,
then the more we are able to
see the magic in everything
and in everyone.
Joshua Kadison
Very little is needed
to make a happy life;
it is all within yourself
in your way of thinking.
The object of life is
not to be on
the side of the majority,
but to escape
finding oneself in
the ranks of the insane.
Marcus Aurelius
Enough
A willow bends
Beside the stream,
No need to chase
Some distant dream.
Its leaves just flutter
Soft and slow-
No urge to stay
No need to go.
A pebble sits
On shallow sand,
Not diamond, gold
Valuable or grand.
It simply rests
The sun its friend,
Content to be
With no pretend.
The world spins on
Bright and gray,
Clouds gather
Then drift away.
Within this breath
I softly stay-
Not lost, not found
Just here
Okay.

ReplyDeleteWonderful poem as always, Cloudia, and I loved that first photo. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWonderful poem, Cloudia. ;-)
ReplyDeletePixie is a sweetie, but that dog rates 2nd!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much friends. I just bathe myself in your comments. They add such a brightness to my life. Thank you Aloha!
ReplyDeleteThe dog in the carriage is cute. There's a lady that takes her 18 year old Chihuahua for walks in his carriage. She takes him out and lets him walk around on the grass and then when he's done she'll pick him back up and put him back in the carriage.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a beautiful photo. Ohhh and Pixie has all the control. LOL
ReplyDelete"but to escape finding oneself in the ranks..."
ReplyDeleteI'm there! What did I win?!
