Every season is one of becoming, but not always one of blooming. Be gracious with your ever-evolving self.

Sun kisses my face
Dark glasses left
on the table—
Light blesses my walk.
Morning opens wide
Soft warmth
across my eyelids,
Each step full of grace.
I greet the bright day
Unshielded, free
and grateful—
Thank you, gentle sun.

Good hearts speak the same language even though we come from different cultures and backgrounds. We are all here now and we are all walking the path of good and peace together with caring instead of selfishness and that's why we are the true rich ones.

* Puowaina Crater, commonly known as Punchbowl, is a volcanic tuff cone in Honolulu, Hawaii, now home to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. The crater, formed by a volcanic blast 75,000 to 100,000 years ago, was historically used for human sacrifices. Today, it serves as a peaceful resting place for over 80,000 U.S. military personnel, with the "Hill of Sacrifice" being its most common Hawaiian translation.
Huge thanks to you and Pixie for your always beautiful and positive take on the world.
ReplyDeleteEach of these words and images is a gentle reminder to honour the season we are in, to notice beauty in its many forms, and to walk forward with gratitude and grace
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainbow
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child and Roentare can express it better than I can, but the idea is the same.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainbow, love your poem and Pixie's wise words.
ReplyDeleteTake care, happy Sunday! Have a wonderful week!
After a very hot summer, I look forward to gentle sun.
ReplyDeleteSome lovely reminders in here, thank you. Yes, our personal season may not be the weather season!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainbow. Hi Pixie!
ReplyDeleteLoved your words and Pixie's here today, Cloudia. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThe reflections on seasons, grace, and connection are beautifully expressed. I particularly appreciate how the haikus and observations like the sun on your face remind us to pause and find richness in everyday moments, both natural and human-made.
ReplyDeleteI have cousins in Petaluma.
ReplyDeleteAloha sweet Cloudia and Pixie too, may your Sunday be wonderful. This post hit home for me. My ever-evolving-self took a recent trip to Duluth to get-away yes, and to absorb new and incredible experiences and ideas for what is to come, one day for I have lived in Minnesota for far more years than I ever imagined I would. Take care and feel the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteYou and Pixie outdid yourselves today with your poems/words of wisdom. I thought the rainbow going into the crater meant it was the pot of gold, but after reading to the end, I realized that you caught a blessings rainbow in your shot.
ReplyDeleteThe rainbow is absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed your poem today, Cloudia.
