Colors begin,

Planned to take.
An off‑ramp
with a rainbow is
perhaps a small,
shimmering sign
that you are still
on the right road,
even if your map
is soft from tears.
Every turn holds
a chance for color
if you are willing
to look up,

Even if you are weary
from the rain,
keep driving.
The next bend
might shimmer.
The horizon,
might suddenly
laugh in light!
I see so much
in these young faces:
Innocence, High Hopes
Naivete.
Can't help wishing them well
with their aspirations
and futures.
