Afternoon Warmth By The Sea

 A  L  O  H  A
From

Encourage people
in this challenging time
simply by being kind.

Remember how we
used to do it?
It was no big deal.

Now it's huge.

Fortunately,
we are up to it!

I could conquer the
world with one hand
as long as you`re
holding the other.

...sprites wearing acorn caps
and wielding  glaives
the size of toothpicks battled
above a sea of tiger lilies.

Lilies bloom when
we laugh together.

I set out to find my peace
in the skies and the tulips,
in the howling of the winds,
in the rain under the shed
and it was right there
residing within me.

Long shadows drift
across warm cement, the cup stands upright,
left behind.
Evening gathers
what daylight spent,
life feels forlorn
and yet
somehow kind.

  7. I quickly passed pollen laden Easter Lilies in the store yesterday...not daring to inhale until well past. So beautiful, but us allergic folks are careful in their presence. Thanks, may all people breathing on this earth (including four legged) find kindness.

  8. Kindness is a concept that sounds easy, but can be so hard to actually do.

  11. Thank you so much friends here between us. I can tell you my mom passed less than a week ago. And my husband continues to decline with his dementia and other issues in care. I visit him everyday. I just feel that there is something authentic about our relationship. Our friendship and I'm doing okay, but I thought you deserved to know what's going on in my world right now. Fortunately, I am okay, processing a lot of grief. Feeling grateful for my life and my future and for all of you. Meeting together here is very important to me and I intend to continue publishing everyday. Thanks to each of you. Sincerely, I feel as if I know you and you touch my hearts and I wish each of you the very best. Aloha

  13. Sadly, kindness and respect have been forgotten. We think it is the lack of human interaction with all the online stuff and COVID, no one talks to other people, it is always texts or emails and it gives people less value. It really makes us sad.

  14. You write the most beautiful poetry, Cloudia.
I'm looking for peace and kindness in our country right now. I'm glad more and more people are perhaps seeing the light.
