Borrowed Glow

The noblest art is
that of making

 Blood Moon

Silver slips
to copper-red,
High above
the sleeping palms.
With half the island
tucked in bed.
The sky assumes
it's quiet calm.

It’s not a fire,
nor a stain,
But every sunset
we watched go
Reflected back
to us again
In one shared,
borrowed,
crimson glow.

The only
lasting beauty is
the beauty
of the heart.

A kind heart is a
fountain of gladness,
making everything
in its vicinity
freshen into smiles.
Washington Irving

  5. Thanks for moon photos, it was cloudy here at daybreak yesterday, which was when we might have seen the eclipse.
