Love
is the great
miracle cure.
Loving ourselves
works miracles
in our lives.
Louise Hay
" Honoluluʻs official bird is one of the only native Hawaiian seabirds flourishing in downtown. These birds are strikingly beautiful with white plumage, black eyes, and black bill. They nest in trees along busy roads, beaches, and even
small boat harbors." Link

waits on it's branch to
be fed some fish.
The parents build no nests.
Yes a chick occasionally does fall.
But thoughtful people take them for rehabilitation, or put them back into the tree if warranted.
You will love the ocean.
It makes you feel small,
but not in a bad way.
Small because you
realize you’re part
of something bigger.

Layers of clouds,
a sky-sweet dream,
Whipped like cream
in twilight’s gleam.
Palm fronds couch
the silver spoon—
The cherry? A bright
near-full moon.
Twilight drift,
silent and slow,
Palms cradle
the evening’s glow.
The moon, near full,
ascends in peace—
A quiet sky,
the mind’s release.

I'm so glad
that you are here...
it makes me realize
how beautiful
my world is.

Dubai chocolate
— praised, gold-dusted,
and absurdly priced —
smells strongly of wealth
and cardamom.
I like my pistachios by themselves and my chocolate pure. I think I could get 3 SPAM musubis for that kookie cookie price. Lovely birdie and kitty. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteSmells of wealth, haha.
ReplyDeleteWonderful skies :-D I've yet to try this Dubai chocolate as I cannot find one that is dairy-free!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies and lovely words from Pixie. The bird is adorable.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day!
...how about a dozen?
ReplyDeleteI like the backdrop for Pixie’s pic
ReplyDeleteBirds might eat the crumbs, but I'll bet Pixie is too wise to want Dubai chocolate. And then there are the nuts who spend $9 on a cookie! Oh I mean pistachios which are such a treat...but certainly not at that cost!
ReplyDeleteDubai Chocolate is definitely the in thing right now. I tried it once but I am sticking to my peanut butter cups :) wonderful photos and wise words and sweet Pixie is the star. Always thinking of you and sending a big hug.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how I feel when I view the expanse of ocean, Cloudia. Lovely photos and poem from Pixie!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skies.
ReplyDeleteLovely words from Pixie today, Cloudia.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post and I want one or two of those cookies. Looks very good.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
