Golden School

School of Goldfish
all the same—
this way, that way
endlessly fascinating!

Not one leads,
none lag behind;
a single thought
they turn as one.

And in their circling
I see us:
how we move together
how we find our way
by following the turn
of someone we trust.

Goldfish don’t need a plan—
they have each other,
and in that simple truth
swims something deep:
we are never lost
when we move
together as one.

Morning light
my gentle friend,
Warm my skin
night's at it's end
Thank you, light,
for waking me,
To all the joy
the day will be.

  8. Ya gonna need a bigger tank for all of those gold fishies. Me thinks the dandy ducks are hanging out in Southern California. Definitely a ducky party going on. Hawaii doesn't have that many Mallards does it? Linda in Kansas
