My blog is a kite
I send up every day.
Your daily dose of Hawaii
Through my eyes.
Some blogs are fighting kites
Cutting the strings
Of their opponents'
Arguments.
But Comfort Spiral
is a message in a bottle:
"Like minded people
Come out and play."
And like miracles
Or migrating butterflies
You come to display your colours.
The Sky is full of kites
Each one is different
Yes,
Another wonderous day . . . A L O H A! Cloudia
And such a wonderful kite it is. I never want to come down from soaring above the islands, or stop walking through the streets. Mahalo, Cloudia.

Hello Cloudia,
ReplyDeleteWhat a poetic posting...
Give my best regards to Ted Trimmer, who I suspect is a vegetarian, because he certainly provides a little something for every pilgrimage made by a visitor to your site.
And huge thank you to you.
I must admit that I have always thought of you as being more in line with the Aerostat Réveillon, the first manned (well, animalled) balloon sent aloft by les fréres Montgolfier, then with a kite.
Why?
Well, balloons seem gracious, as your text and voice are.
Also, while kites are frequently brilliantly coloured, the Aerostat Réveillon was constructed out of wallpaper daubed in an alum paste for fire-resistance. That balloon was colourful and reflective of its world. It dominated the sky, and the imagination of its times.
I think your posts are colourful, reflective of your world, and quietly, graciously, dominant too.
But I concede the lively vitality of kites to you, of course.
Lovely work, Cloudia, however it is characterized.
All the best,
Chris
Great sentiments in this post.
ReplyDeleteTravis: Much like many of YOURS! Mahalo-
ReplyDeleteSepiru Chris: I love how YOU write!
ReplyDeleteThanks for glorying with me in the wonder of words, facts, and wishes. . . . I like your "argument" but am actually very partial to Santos-Dumont who flew his diminutive blimp around Paris as a private vehicle. He was the toast of the town! I need some lawn chairs and helium cannisters and some balloons!!
