“No, this trick won't work...How on earth are you ever going to explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love?”
Albert Einstein
You were my first crush....I was SO young!
You were still running around with that short guy
in white back then.
We lost touch. . . you haven't been in town for 10 years. . .
You still look great.
I see you're traveling with two boy toys now.
"Oh I wish I was an Oscar Mayer wiener
ReplyDeletethat is what I'd truly like to be-e-e
cause if I was an Oscar Mayer Wiener
everyone would be in love with me!"
I don't know what this is honey but if you like it I do too! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that is funny and brings back some great memories. What a great pin!
ReplyDeleteTrue, the first love is very special! Nobody can take that away.
ReplyDeleteKinky, Cloudia, really kinky. But also very funny. Enjoy reconnecting with your first love at a July 4 barbecue!!! But don't Hawaiians eat a lot of spam instead?
ReplyDeleteYes, AKE, I thought of appending an explanation for our non-US friends. This is a giant hot-dog (american sausange popular with kids) automobile called the "Wiener Wagon" - not to be confused with Goethes "WEI-mar Wagon."
ReplyDeleteMarketed to kids, a "small person" used to represent "little Oscar" the mascot of the company. When the WW came to town we all went wild....I lost my "Wiener Whistle" many years ago - but as you see: I now have a precious replacement!
Aloha- thanks for being a pal!
Anonymous: Yes! The jingle!
ReplyDeleteSandy: You remember don't you ;-)
ReplyDeleteWil: You are dear!
Teresa: Glad you enjoy my unconventional loe story ;-)
Thanks friends!!
Hot dog!!
ReplyDeleteMaking me hungry for a ride!
ReplyDeleteYes, Dina: Hot DIGGITY dog ;-)
ReplyDeleteAloha Free & EZ
Gosh, everyone used to sing that song. I have never laid eyes on the giant weinermobile in person, but I sure remember the commercials. This was a cute post, brought a smile to my face.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chuckle. And here I was remembering a story about my first love to comment with. Guess I'll just have to save it for another day. Aloha, Cloudia.
ReplyDeletelove this!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteI agreee with Reader Will.
ReplyDeleteBut sometimes the last love is good too.
Dear Cloudia -- You are GOOFY! Saw the weinermobile in my corny Kansas grocery store's parking lot last year. It's a funky vehicle. I didn't know there was a precious whistle.. DrumMajor
ReplyDeleteThat was a great post, amusing and yet with such a depth of truth. Excellent!
ReplyDeleteUghhh! I'll have mine with the natural case crunch on a lightly steamed bun thank you.
ReplyDeleteDamn, I thought you were talking about the girl on the beach at first. I was thinking there's side of Cloudia I didn't know!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th to you, good luck with your North Korea missile attack today, get us some pics!

LOL. I've only seen these on TV.
ReplyDeleteThat, too, is part of the soundtrack of our lives!!
ReplyDeleteOh, you had me going there for a moment! So we shared the same crush? What a fun post & photos and especially fitting today of all days when the grills are fired up.
ReplyDeleteHoping you have a spendid holiday!
