ALOHA
to YOU, Friends
"If you are lucky enough to find a way of life you love,
you must have the courage to live it."
John Irving
while others judge us by what we have already done."
Longfellow
We think we're supposed to be busy,
proactive, and ever alert.
It's buyer beware
your own damned fault;
Hey! Look where you are going!
Vacation's a commodity
you need to book and pay for.
We feel guilty
"just doing nothing"
though that's where the action is.
We have lost the primal knack
of living in the moment
being free without atonement
But here & now
is where the action is.
Thank you for joining us here!
Saturday I met a remarkable man, on Sunday I attended a Blogger Party here in Honolulu with Kay of Musings, Ian Lind, Burl Burlingame, and our hostess, Gigi in Hawaii (http://travelerswife.blogspot.com/2009/10/gigis-blogger-bash.html)
.....But more about all that later........Gotta run! This week I MUST buy a new computer. I haven't been able to visit all of you as much as I want - but that will all change soon! Thanks SO much for your dear visits here...
Warm ALOHA, to YOU
wheee! Glad you came to my party, CC. I am sure Meda and Mary will love your book.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new computer. I am lucky I have David to put mine together. He knows what stuff needs to be downloaded, too. I am such a dunce, I wouldn't know what to do.
Get one with a deep expanded processor. I like the Pentium duo core or faster.
ReplyDeleteThe here and now sounds so much easier than it actually is. Aloha Cloudia.
ReplyDeleteI've always been able to just relax. I only have two speeds, Full Speed Ahead, and Stopped. I'm pretty good at them both!
ReplyDeletevery true..We judge ourselves by what we feel capable of doing,
ReplyDeletewhile others judge us by what we have already done
I don't think I ever had a knack for living in the moment. I've often wished I did.
ReplyDeletehappy shopping, Cloud, do I see a new MacBook in your future? Aloha!
ReplyDeleteI love your title today: Queen Bamboo in the Pagoda of Love. And it's in quotes... is this the title of your up and coming book? Hope you find your dream computer :)
ReplyDeleteI actually have the "House Of Love" boxer briefs. Yeah, nothing says manliness like those do.

ReplyDeleteTerrific photos, Cloudia. Good luck on finding the perfect computer. I love your upbeat outlook to life.
ReplyDeleteI'm fixin to buy a new Mac! Happy computer hunting. I love that Irving quote. I'd listen to him any old time.
ReplyDeleteLast night, quarter past three, complete change of pyjama, bed and blanket as his diaper 'was running over', half an hour afterwards trying to bring Stefan back to sleep.
ReplyDeleteLong time ago, indeed, that I felt time that much - so glad that I couldn't sleep for many hours later.
A wonderful Wednesday-time for you.
enjoy PC shopping!
