Santa is wintering in Hawaii!
Did you ever wonder why the tool is called a "monkey wrench?"
It was invented by Charles Moncky

The word "toy" comes from the Olde English for "tool."
Is a blog a tool or a toy?

The Pew Internet & American Life Project
estimates that one in ten on-line adults has a blog;
That's 30 million blogging adults.
Glad we found each other!

My blog is a kite
I send up every day.
Your daily dose of Hawaii
Through my eyes.
Some blogs are fighting kites
Cutting the strings
Of their opponents'
Arguments.
But Comfort Spiral
is a message in a bottle:
"Like minded people
Come out and play."
And like miracles
Or migrating butterflies
You come to display your colors!
The Sky is full of kites
Each one is different
Yes,
Another wondrous day . . .
A L O H A, cloudia
Hello
ReplyDeleteI am interested in biking.
I like the color and style.
That bike rules!
ReplyDelete"Like minded people
ReplyDeleteCome out and play."
Not the only reason I love to visit your blog, but. . .thanks for the gentle reminders! Happy day, my beach combing friend.
p.s. New bike yet? :O)
I be the kite on a broken string that hasn't quite found myself tangled up in the power lines..yet.
ReplyDeleteYes, let's flock. And rock?! :)
ReplyDeleteAloha from Cairo!
BLOGitse
Great story you got here. It would be great to read more about this matter. Thanx for giving this info.
ReplyDeleteI love your view of blogging.. so true. That bike seat and floral decal combo is so wild, it's wonderful.
ReplyDeleteFun facts and pics, darling Cloudia!

It looks so warm there. I'm waiting for spring. It's just around the corner too. Excellent. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for flying your bloggy kite to California!! Hope it enjoyed the view of Disneyland while it was hovering over my house :)
ReplyDeletelove the skies
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about a monkey wrench! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the leopard bike seat!
ReplyDeleteI love my daily dose of Hawaii Cloudia.
ReplyDeleteyou rock!

Glad that am reading your blog...yes, let's flock...blogger rules!
ReplyDeletethank you for the invitation, Cloudia, it's very nice here!
ReplyDeletea blog is both, a tool AND a toy and much, much more.
That's funny about the Santa suit. Would love to winter there too!
ReplyDeletethere might be millions on millions of blogs, but most are defunct. They're not like your's for example. Instead, infrequent postings. Many have migrated to Twitter or iPhone pic blogging.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see Caeser branched out beyond salad.
ReplyDeleteLet's go fly a kite, up to the highest heights!
ReplyDeleteAbout a decade that I wrote an five page work at school to obtain me A-level with subject: a kite.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for the memories.
Being about 3,000 miles far from home, this message in a bottle was more than welcomed.
A wonderful Friday for you.
Thank you for these wonderful comments!
ReplyDeleteWhen I get a new bike, y'all will be the first to know :)
Hail Cesar ('s cleaners :)
Aloha ha ha!
Beautiful winter skies in Hawaii!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to mingle among the quality here. Among the most beautiful of kites.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thanks you two!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at the Santa suit - Santa is wintering in Hawaii! LOL! (Don't we all wish we were wintering in Hawaii.)
ReplyDeletelove your pics and verse! fun flying with you in the skies!

aloha!
My blog is a tool AND a toy. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely post. (I'm not so convinced about the Monkey Wrench though. It's been around since at least the early C19th as a coach wrench. Might it not have come from the latin 'mancus' for 'incomplete', because of its dislocated form?)
ReplyDeleteOh that was so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI agree about the fighting-kite analogy. I blog to practice writing, to meet others "of my kind" :-) and to make people laugh.
Glad you are like-minded!!
Aloha!
Pearl
Delightful speculation about the dislocated coach wrench-
ReplyDeleteSo nice seeing you dears as well!
Leopard print bike saddle - lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd that sky is wonderful: no wonder Santa wants to winter in Hawaii.
Hawaii sounds great. Especially this time of the year... :) I love the thought of the sky being full of kites and that they are all different. I'm in. Let's flock. :)
ReplyDelete"My blog is a kite
ReplyDeleteI send up every day." I.love.this!
I wish I had come up with it myself-- it would be in my blog description! Congrats on your POTW mention at Hilary's place.
Aloha. I like your kite....
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about the word "toy"! How fun, one of the first things I did today was learn something new, which is always a welcome thing.
ReplyDeleteYou've got a good, playful spirit about where you live, Cloudia. The picture of the Santa suit at the dry cleaners made me laugh. Do you remember the Sesame Street "One of these things is not like the other..." bit they used to do? That photo put me in mind of that.
Congratulations of the post of the week mention over at Hilary's, this was a really fun one, and a welcome visual, and mental treat for a cold day over here on the mainland.
Back to say Congrats on POTW mention from Hilary
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Post of the Week mention!
ReplyDeleteThe Santa suit is a hoot!
