On Saturday,
I went to the Honolulu Books & Music Fest.
Clark Little, the surf photographer, whose work I've posted many times with credit,
had a booth, so I went over to check him out.
Never having seen Clark,
I assumed the guy who looked like he just walked off the beach was the artiste.
The professional-looking camera he was holding
sealed the deal: it was definitely him.
"Aloha, Clark.
I'm a blogger, and I've posted your amazing shots
a number of times WITH credit.
People enjoy and comment on them.
Is that cool with you?"
"Oh yeah, sure.
And thanks!"
So there you have it:
share the things you love
but always be careful
to assign rightful "props"
and links
to those
(like you and me)
who share their creations
with the world.
Aloha! cloudia

Wow. He sure is a wonderful photographer. You offer wise advice. So many people think that because a photo is out there on the internet that they're entitled to use it at will. It just ain't so. Thanks for reinforcing that.
ReplyDeleteYou're like the shore scavenger, bringing up stuff left on the shore overnight. Only, you polish them, arrange them, and shine the light on them so we can see them too.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Props are mandatory and most ethical,
ReplyDeleteThe Iris? (Purple Flower) is so erotic!
