Clouds do not have bones,
And so live in the sky.
If they fall,
They will not break anything,
And when they fall we call it
Rain.
And so live in the sky.
If they fall,
They will not break anything,
And when they fall we call it
Rain.
After The Rain,
They cannot find their bodies again,
And so they
Disappear.
They cannot find their bodies again,
And so they
Disappear.
Blue skies do not have clouds.
Clouds do not have bones.
That is all I have to say.
Clouds do not have bones.
That is all I have to say.
Now place your tray tables in closed and upright position. We will be landing in Honolulu momentarily.
(Around 57 seconds in, you can see the harbor where I am writing this. Wave!)
Great photos and poem. Love the landing video; what fun.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth : )
beautiful island and heavenly shafts of lights piercing through the clouds way out above the moontains.
ReplyDeleteFun post! I'm waving!!!
ReplyDeletewow.. enjoy your wonderful trip!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved the landing - but I don't do flying well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun combo you two make!
ReplyDeletePerfect poem and landing!! Aloha my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteWaving at you.. I almost felt like I should look up from the screen and see that I'm in Hawaii.. sigh!
ReplyDeletelovely
ReplyDeleteThank you Coudia. You're always innovative. The poem is lovely.
ReplyDeleteLoved the video!!!
ReplyDeletelovely poem
ReplyDeleteand the photos are stunning!!
Happy Thanksgiving, Cloudia! To your guest poetess, too! I will be landing in your lovely land in a couple of weeks. It is, indeed, a paradise; I always enjoy those business trips that take me there.
ReplyDeleteWish I was on that plane! Happy weekend, cher! Aloha!
ReplyDeleteEloquent. yet succinct. Did you notice the small bird enter the intake at time 2:46?
ReplyDeleteJust kidding...
Great video. I didn't see you waving back and got a little disappointed. I loved the photos and the poem, but I felt the science project to be somewhat lacking in research. Everybody knows that clouds do not have bones because they're made of cotton candy... ;-)
ReplyDeleteSomeday I hope to get on a plane and land in Honolulu.
ReplyDeletelove this poem and the pix
ReplyDeleteSweet of you to do a guest post :)
ReplyDeletewonderful holidays to you. We have spent several in the islands my kids all remember saying it doesn't seem like the holidays (even tho we live in California we still have cold and snow just above us in the Sierras)
The celebrating really is on our hearts :)
Hugs to you Cloudia
Thank you for the adventure and sharing Shay's poetry. I'm a huge fan of her work.
ReplyDeleteCoolness! I love having the chance to see my words combined with your photographs!

While watching the video I remembered seeing a travel video made in the 1930's showing the same area. Needless to say there was a big difference.
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
Your site is amazing and always a joy to land at. Impressed, impressed. Please have a wonderful weekend you all.

ReplyDeletethanx for the comment on my blog Cloudia. Hello from Suffolk, too - doesn't have the same ring does it?
ReplyDeleteLove the boneless clouds poem and the video clip, great shot from the top so sharp and clear. tQ
ReplyDeleteWhat i like about clouds is that no two clouds are the same shape or size purely ramdom. Nice poem too.
ReplyDeletesafe landing!
ReplyDeletenamaste /\ from mumbai

Very beautiful skies (the first could is very nice) and good landing.
ReplyDeleteALOHA, Cloudia
Beautiful My Dear! Thanks for the Link to Shay's site!
ReplyDeleteTom-- of Tom & Jerry...ar ar

Wonderful cloud shot and a beautiful, steady descent - the camera held perfectly steady, too, clearly capturing the island's coast below. Quite a feat! I held my breath!
ReplyDeleteI once had a dream about a rainbow that fell and broke. I've tried to write a poem about it but have never quite captured it.
ReplyDeleteJolly!!
