The Egyptians taught
That after death
One’s heart would be weighed in the balance
Against a feather
That symbol of high places
And lightness.
What is a light heart?
Perhaps it is one that loves life
One that takes difficulties easily
And so lightens them.
A heart that loves deeply
Seems to fly
And so rightly rises
In the eyes of the gods
When weighed against a feather.

    The truck is on the beach in that shot, because it is Friday afternoon and those are the pyrotechnic people setting up the Hilton Friday Nite Fireworks extravaganza!

    Cloudia, Your pictures are so lovely. I hope someday to visit Hawaii. Your "Heart Feather" is the last thing I am reading before bed. I will put this under my pillow.
    It's 3:22 a.m. here and almost dawn.
    You have given me things to think about. I want to have a light heart and have never thought about how I feel through that particular perspective. Is't it magic how just what we need to hear comes at the perfect time for us. "Heart Feather" - have you got a philosophical recipe to lighten a heart that you can share?
