Honolulu has many communities of feral cats.
Dedicated volunteers, like this lady,
feed and arrange for neutering & healthcare for the little bums.

Most visitors are looking up, at sights like the top picture.
But if you look down, you may see evidence of CAT.

I'm totally unaware of feral cats around here - I'm sure they are out in the country around farms and such but animal control likely gathers up any wandering around without tags.
ReplyDeletelots of feral cats in my neighborhood, but absolutely no rodents, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteLittle bums. lol. :)
ReplyDeleteSend some of them over to our neighborhood. Our cat can't keep up with the rats.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that Honolulu tolerates feral cats but Hilo doesn't! At least not around here.
Yes, she has a caring heart, no doubt..
ReplyDeleteLOL - isn't it ALWAYS political season in the US ? ;-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sky shot ! Perhaps the feral cat idea was imported from Greece - we saw lots of them in Rhodes too !
Aloha, Cloudia.
Your quotes are always sunny and warm...even when the ac is on HIGH and the night is dark. Cheers from Miami, chica! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I see it, and even hear their gentle purr....
ReplyDeletePuss does look very content indeed. Fantastic sky shot :-).
ReplyDeletelove that rumi quote....glad the feral cats are taken care ....in a city that big it must be sad sometimes to see that other side of urban nature...
ReplyDeleteDear Cloudia,
ReplyDeleteYou always seem to find nice photo opportunities.
Greetings,
Filip
Great unique finds, a joy to see them. :)
ReplyDeleteI am a sucker for cats. And, unfortunately, feral cats are an issue everywhere there are people. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteNICE NICE NICE BLOG
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately there are here in Greece so many feral cats..

Gorgeous 'pussy cat' post Cloudia, I love them and I'm so happy to hear that you have volunteers who look out for the feral cats, not sure if we do here! and I enjoyed the 'little bums' too haha!
ReplyDeleteSummer breeze makes me feel fine.
ReplyDeleteBlowing through the jasmine in my mind ♫..
a purr-fect song to feel the breeze..
Cats are just so fine.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness that wherever we go there are always cat lovers.
ReplyDeleteAh a cat's life ...
ReplyDeleteMy main issue with feral cats is how many wild birds they kill.
ReplyDeleteI likes me playing with some wild fire.
ReplyDeleteI love the last quote.
ReplyDeleteCats. I love them. They are different universe, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteSweet! This reminds me of the cats coming out at night to inhabit Jackson Square in New Orleans; cats among Roman ruins in the South of France; and even more cats roaming about in Père Lachaise Cemetery. Finally, of a woman who cares for two stray but neutered cats living by a certain building in San Antonio, TX. Little bums, indeed ~~!
ReplyDeleteTwice a week I buy food with me small son and we feet them. His joy the greatest of mine.
