Sweet New Year

A L O H A !

between a desire to improve the world
and a desire to enjoy the world.
This makes it hard to plan the day. "

" You can't punish yourself into change.
You can't whip yourself into shape.
But you can love yourself into well-being. "

It's the most curious thing

  2. Yes, we have begun the ten Days of Awe. Still a lot of spiritual work to be done before we are hopefully inscribed and sealed in the book of life for another good year.

Thanks for that Talmud quote. I always felt that to be true but never knew it was written so simply and in the Talmud.
Thanks for the always warm hospitality in your blog, Cloudia.

  6. I don't know about seeing a grin without the rest of the cat. Some people are afraid of what they don't know and let that fear take over. Once that happens they often justify bad behavior then the next thing you know their are poking it with a stick.

    Happy New Year Claudia

  22. Odd that the background for the blowing of the shofar was the Dome of the Rock...may there be peace somewhere over there yet perhaps?

  24. I always figure that loving yourself is OK as long as the love doesn't interfere with an accurate and objective evaluation of your self and your work.
