Two Mondays

A L O H A !

" In preparing for battle
I have always found
that plans are useless,
but PLANNING
is indispensable. "

Dwight. D. Eisenhower
 WWII Supreme Allied Commander

Who also warned us:

" In the councils of government,
we must guard against the acquisition
of unwarranted influence,
whether sought or unsought,
by the military-industrial complex.
The potential for the disastrous rise
of misplaced power
exists and will persist. "

Dwight D. Eisenhower,
President, USA
Farewell Address,

January 17, 1961

  2. And a lovely Monday morning to you, Cloudia. 'Tis sunny in Scotland e'en the snow still lies on the grass.

  3. I like how blogging connects you to far flung people you would never otherwise get a chance to meet. It's less trivial than twitter. More anonymous than facebook.

I notice that fewer people are bothering with blogs now. Some may have had their dreams of fame dashed. Reading and writing may not be the centre of others' interests. It is easier to say "look at me!" in the other venues where you can easily find the people you know.

But for me, blogs are best.

  4. Scheduling posts can be confusing. ;)

  5. I don't know much about what i am doing with it but I blog most every day because I want a place to write and be read if someone is of the mind to read. It is almost as if I get to do an open mic every time I write.

FB & Twitter are OK for a quick "what up" but the blogs you can keep 'em running for years ('06 for me) and delete at will.

  6. Blogging keeps me connected to the world. Can't say enough about all the people I have met.

  7. I've had some experiences like that with blogger but overall it works pretty amazingly.

  8. I find its easier and less stressful to ignore Bloggers erratic-ness .. I use Blogger in Draft, do you? If so, then I'd just wait it out .. eventually they finish what they're doing behind the scenes and all goes back to 'normal' (whatever that is)

  10. Glad you are back on track, Cloudia. Love the pictures, as usual. So far, I have had absolutely no problems with WordPress, which is free, too.

  15. Very pleasant post, Cloudia!
    I've never used scheduled posting.
For lack of time I take a break in the comments (writing/reading), but I’ll keep on visiting the blogs.
    Happy Monday!

  22. LOVE checking into your world, and other blog friends'. My coworkers and family are stunned with what I've learned from my blog friends, like I have this special, direct connection to the REAL ohana in the core of Hawaii. Scheduled or not, it's still fun! Mahalo, DrumMajor
