" In preparing for battle
I have always found
that plans are useless,
but PLANNING
is indispensable. "
Dwight. D. Eisenhower
WWII Supreme Allied Commander
Who also warned us:
" In the councils of government,
we must guard against the acquisition
of unwarranted influence,
whether sought or unsought,
by the military-industrial complex.
The potential for the disastrous rise
of misplaced power
exists and will persist. "
Dwight D. Eisenhower,
President, USA
Farewell Address,

That's a wonderful quote from Eisenhower. I shall use that sometime! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAnd a lovely Monday morning to you, Cloudia. 'Tis sunny in Scotland e'en the snow still lies on the grass.
ReplyDeleteI like how blogging connects you to far flung people you would never otherwise get a chance to meet. It's less trivial than twitter. More anonymous than facebook.
ReplyDeleteI notice that fewer people are bothering with blogs now. Some may have had their dreams of fame dashed. Reading and writing may not be the centre of others' interests. It is easier to say "look at me!" in the other venues where you can easily find the people you know.
But for me, blogs are best.
Scheduling posts can be confusing. ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about what i am doing with it but I blog most every day because I want a place to write and be read if someone is of the mind to read. It is almost as if I get to do an open mic every time I write.
ReplyDeleteFB & Twitter are OK for a quick "what up" but the blogs you can keep 'em running for years ('06 for me) and delete at will.
Blogging keeps me connected to the world. Can't say enough about all the people I have met.
ReplyDeleteI've had some experiences like that with blogger but overall it works pretty amazingly.
ReplyDeleteI find its easier and less stressful to ignore Bloggers erratic-ness .. I use Blogger in Draft, do you? If so, then I'd just wait it out .. eventually they finish what they're doing behind the scenes and all goes back to 'normal' (whatever that is)
ReplyDeleteBlogging gives me an opportunity to write and connect with people, who are interesting an engaged in creative activities, like you.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back on track, Cloudia. Love the pictures, as usual. So far, I have had absolutely no problems with WordPress, which is free, too.
ReplyDeleteI get absolutely panic struck when they change anything, like they just did with the layout and posting thingy, but as Daryl says, eventually it sorts itself out. Generally i enjoy it a lot and love the meeting fantastic persons such as yourself Cloudia!!
ReplyDeleteTrue quote on planning...love it!
ReplyDeleteAs for blogging, it's a beautiful way to connect with people from all over the world. I'm still lovin' it, chica! xo
Blogging is a great place to connect with so many creative people. :)
ReplyDeleteHow do I feel about blogging? I feel that it saves my sanity!
ReplyDeleteVery pleasant post, Cloudia!
ReplyDeleteI've never used scheduled posting.
For lack of time I take a break in the comments (writing/reading), but I’ll keep on visiting the blogs.
Happy Monday!
The picture is amazing !
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, blogging changed days, weeks, months, probably my life. Please have you all a good Tuesday.

ReplyDeleteLovely shot. I love blogging but every now and then, get tired of it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE checking into your world, and other blog friends'. My coworkers and family are stunned with what I've learned from my blog friends, like I have this special, direct connection to the REAL ohana in the core of Hawaii. Scheduled or not, it's still fun! Mahalo, DrumMajor
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right. It is free after all. I've often goofed and posted something on the wrong day and not been able to move it. People must wonder what's going on with my blog.
ReplyDeleteFailing to plan is planning to fail !!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your rainbow, good photo.
ReplyDeletei love your rainbow, fantastic shot!
