with confidence
becomes our own
self-fulfilling
prophecy.

'Expect the best
and even better
will happen.' "

idols.
I admire
work,

What do YOU prophesy?
- we all do it:
What we say,
what we expect
of someone,
how we behave
around them;
all based on our
expectations.
So what do YOU
prophesy?
By this time
it is no secret
that the best athletes
train their bodies
AND their minds.
Sports Psychologists
make a good living
telling athletes
to practice
in the mind,
to visualize,
over and over again
JUST what they want
to happen.
Brain imaging proves
that the mind believes it
true
when we really
visualize it.
What we expect
shapes our world
and influences those
closest to us.
What do we expect of
them?
Do they feel
positive expectations
from us?
Are we armored
against ANOTHER
disappointment?
Does our heart
expand with joy
when we hear
their key
in the door?
Believe it
to achieve it.
Sometimes I tell
my [blog invisible] husband:
" When we get up to
dance
at your 100th birthday
celebration
everybody
is going to applaud-
so be ready. "
He doesn't even
protest
that I'm silly
anymore.
Instead,
we dance
with eyes
half closed.
We can feel
the love
of all our friends
and neighbors.
It's gonna be GREAT!
What do YOU
prophesy?

ReplyDeleteprophesy?
I very much see a sandy beach in my future.
Love the energy of these words. I know I try to stay positive and envision sucess. sometimes I feel silly about it, but if you don't envision or talk about it, it won't happen.
