I know the feeling, throw in the demands of jobs kids, and wife and I'm lucky to get online some days.
i visit those i care about as well...i always try to return comment as well...as they have shown enough to care to come see me...i would rather the communication, as that is the seat of relationship, more than the hit...really like that Loren comment....i think there is truth there....

I usually have between 15 and 20 comments, but some of those are my responses. :) You have such a beautiful blog, I love visiting it. And I have you linked on the side. I truly care about all visitors, too, and wish I could visit blogs more often. My job has turned very busy (so not much time to sneak peaks at blogs during the day. And then there's that 1.5 hours of commuting. Sigh. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post!
ReplyDeleteAloha.
Have a great weekend.
Wonderful shots.
ReplyDeletealways such a relaxing place to come, I have around one to two hundred a day, usually the same people comment though and its usually around twenty or 30 comments, I try to visit all my friends but its hard , I keep making new ones and they are all wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI love the visits and comments and connecting..and I like to leave a comment for those that took the time to read and comment as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI got news for Loren and her big boobs. You ain't beatin' age, no way!
ReplyDeleteDear Blog Baroness -- Your Blog has been nice to visit and blab around. We hope it continues to be fun for you and not a burden. Your dancing clouds in the sunset are amazing today. DrumMajor
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Cloudia! Counting my last counter and this one, I have had over 200,000 hits. Have not missed a day of posting since February '08. I visit my links on a fairly reasonable basis and try to respond to my followers. Hits and comments are two different things...not everyone comments, that's for sure. I'm hooked and grateful to have made contact with so many beautiful people around this world...and you are one of them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of beautiful colored sky, the picture of the cat is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy english is not very good, so I do not always know what is being written, so I respond only to the pictures. "
Have a nice weekend!
I typically visit 30 to 40 blogs a day. It keeps me busy. I don't know what my hit rate is. I should check.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised by the volume of readers you have. Your blog is always so inspirational. For me it's a treat, like a bit of candy with no calories.
ReplyDeleteI don't have near the number of readers. Is that a blessing? Don't know if I could keep up with everyone if I had your numbers.
Still, it must be nice to be so popular.
even though i have a bunch of followers, we all know a lot of them don't really follow. i DO follow almost 400 blogs and read/view their posts in my reader and try to comment about 90-95% of the time. whew! i have more time to give it than most, however, and i know that. i do receive wonderful, steady, loyal visits from folks every day for which i am grateful. it is a give and take, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI try my best to visit all but most of the time I can't make it..
ReplyDeleteI have two readers, me and somebody named Cloudia. Does any blogger need more.
ReplyDeleteI get 300-500 hits in a month. I read your blog faithfully. It's my morning vacation.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I think we were having the same thoughts but many miles away from each other. Often when I'm out walking my dogs, I think and last night it was heavy on my mind that I've been missing some of my very special blogger friends that I'm sure like me are all caught up in summer, and soon will be out there blogging more. I am so thankful for friends like you who do post something so uplifting each and everyday and when I need a lift for sure, I may come back and read your post again and again. Enjoy your sunshine-Karen

ReplyDeleteGreetings,

Until now, said, that there were 127 yesterday, while 75 today; amounting to a total of 98,000+ during the now soon three years since I started the site.
ReplyDeleteHaving 400+ so-called readers, entries receive on average five per cent of them commenting though !?!
I try to visit for about an hour and a half; putting main importance to re-visit those who commented.
More than many times, it was surely your spiral, which provided peace and comfort after long and tiring days. Many thanks to you.
Love the Locke quote much.
Please have you all a wonderful Sunday.
I recieve about 10 to 30 hits a day, i'm happy with that amount and visit as many blogs as i can each day and leave a comment if the post moves me.
ReplyDeleteI haven't counted either. I know that I don't visit enough blogs because to visit all of the ones I would like to would require time travel. Some of them (yours) I visit almost every day.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

Each of YOU is SO very appreciated. Truly, I am grateful and feel aloha for each one. thanks
ReplyDeleteI don't quite understand the Blogger pageviews thing. It says I've had 80 so far today, but 536 yesterday. I doubt that 536 number. The counts don't make sense. What's a page view anyway?
ReplyDeleteI try to visit the bloggers in my cyber family on my sidebar as often as I can, but sometimes I'm either traveling or just over my head with busy-ness.
I too get nearly 150+ visits per day. It feels nice to be connected. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely shots.
Lovely images and very wise quotes!
ReplyDeleteI ensure visit/comment all those who have taken the trouble to do so on my posts apart from some that I love!

Aloha!
What lovely shots!
ReplyDeleteI get lots of visitors - nearly a thousand every day, and about 80 of them leave comments. I always always visit people who have left me a kind word. Unfortunately, I just don't have time to visit everyone who likes a post, but I really do appreciate their visit.
My favourite is the first picture, beautiful skyline.
ReplyDeleteThe Earl of Chesterfield knew a thing or two!
ReplyDeleteCloudia, I'm Christopher and you commented on my third post ever that went up November 10, 2008. I was looking back, saw your comment there and for a hoot thought I would say hello. Much has changed since those days, though I still work in poetry. I am getting 300-500 hits a day, and just over 640 on my recent best day.
ReplyDeleteI am not impressed. I know very well that most of these "hits" are not readers but grazers and researchers looking for stuff. If you have a really broad choice of especially locatable images related to good key words then you will get tons of hits.
Last July 28 I posted something titled Good and Evil. While it is a good post, in terms of hits it has been a skyrocket. As near as I can figure that's because the keyword "evil" is big time. It's already in just a little over a month got 6000 hits.
In contrast, my low rent posts range from 2-50 hits total. That's most of them. I have posted over 1200 times total. I do have about fifteen posts that range from 1000-6000 hits and others approaching 1000. However, my comment list is almost nil in contrast because I have run out of time and energy doing the comment thing myself. So very few people leave comments because there are so many people looking for the exchange.
Mostly I just want to write my poetry.
