A L O H A !
Routine Appointment
Waiting for the physician
in that little room
(without a window)
there is too much
Time
perhaps a second,
maybe 5 more minutes,
to Think.
Standing before the mirror
washing hands below,
I looked-
DEEPLY looked
at the face I really have
today.
One clear truth
formed in my mind,
a Truth I believe
with all my heart:
It's the light in here,
I don't look
THAT bad!
Jacob's Cattle Beans
" If I were two-faced,
would I be wearing
this one? "
Abraham Lincoln
" With the fearful strain
that is on me night and day,
if I did not
laugh
I should die. "
Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln

Thanks for visiting!
Warmly, cloudia
Ha, the last one gave me a good laugh. The first a thought to put into practice, I think.
ReplyDeleteOne beautiful thing about this face is I need no mirrors. With this beard I have nothing but hair to look deeply into.
ReplyDeleteAre they really called Jacob's Cattle Beans?!?
ReplyDeleteJust in time for this weeks Parasha, Genesis 28:10-32:3, that tells how Jacob bred the speckled livestock.
Shabbat shalom.
Happy (not Black) Friday to you Cloudia. x
