Appointed Continents

Pink Cloud - Cobalt Cloud:  Morning

What do you do

the day

after

the holidays

?

Early birds at the Beach

Ships keep their appointed rounds,
charted on some desk far away,
to meet a shipment,
itself in movement
to that meeting,
plotted in a
different office
on a different
continent.

Hawaiians of old

sailed in double-hulled,

two-masted canoes

following the stars:

arriving
departing
founding kingdoms;

Bringing new ideas

and plants,

like bloggers

of the sea.

Steersman steer,
call the stroke;
ride along
you lazy bum!

" Day After?"
Wonders dear Birdy.
"Isn't TODAY All? "

" The creation
of the world
did not take place
once
and for all time,
but
takes place
every day. "

Samuel Beckett

Who am I
to disagree
particularly
during the
dying embers
of another
year. . .

  4. I have been noticing the strange looking characters at the end of the comments you have left here and there lately. I also noticed that > < 3 3 3 ( ' > was left at the end of this piece, and I am wondering what is going with that? That is, if you do not mind saying, of course.

  5. Da boat is heavy at the back; empty boat? Isn't today's birdie unique: pink eyes and feet, and a bit pale? Goof off on day after holiday; best recovery. DrumMajor

  8. Aloha Cloudia, My morning after I shared the song Happy, Day After Christmas-(to shut-ins too)with, the light of the world, by Matthew West (glorious song) then what work must be done-followed by a movie with a few loved ones,(not tied up in the daily grind)and treasuring every moment, never wanting to be sorry. That includes all my animal friends too. :)
