Animal Ounces

A  L  O  A  !
Golden Plover - Kolea in Hawaiian

You can have
 a Spirit Companion Animal
to teach you
life lessons,
 to be with you
guiding & protecting.

Indian  Myna

  Dream of your animal,
see your companion
out of the corner of your eye
 as you fall asleep. . . . .

Red-crested Cardinal, Paroaria coronata,
synchronous appearances
of an animal,
their image, stories, words,
  will reveal your friend.
Give it a name.
Speak to your
Spirit Animal.

 Appreciate your
Animal Friend
until it is most real to you.
Even when you are at work,
and your pet
at home,
under the couch,
your pet is real,
alive, and
loving you.

Spirit Animals
are like that too. . . .

" Sometimes
the heart sees
what is invisible
 to the eye. "

H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

Your animal companion
is a representative
of an ancient companionable
wisdom.

 " An ounce of loyalty
is worth
 a pound of
cleverness. "

Elbert Green Hubbard

  1. I have a crow as my spirit guide. It an i met many ages ago. It knew i was not bright so he named himself Bob for me so even if i got it wrong and spelled it backwards he would still know who it was looking for a little help.

  2. Animals are more human than man as there are no pretenses. One knows exactly how it will react. It's all black and white and nothing in between. They can be a best friend to the master, nothing treacherous. Great pics, Cloudia as always!

  6. I'll have to think on this one. Don't know my spirit animal. Maybe I have many because I love animals so much. Meantime, my dog Daisy is sort of a spiritual companion. Have a great weekend.

  12. We capture an old feeling having animals around, a feeling that is still in our DNA, still representing of our past evolution. Our caves have changed; but our need to cuddle up with a protector is still there.

  21. I wonder about spirit animals.. totems sometimes. I believe there has to be more than one. Each has different aspects which can help us at different times. Raccoons... I seem to belong to them.. or they to me, somehow.

  23. What a lovely post. I enjoyed the animal photos and the quote, and the animal spirit guide. I've always felt a close kinship to the tiger. Maybe ever since I have found out I was born in the year of the tiger, who knows.
