A L O H A !
" Men
are governed by lines
of intellect -
women
by curves
of emotion."
James Joyce
Let's argue, er, discuss this one in comments :-)
" To be amused by what you read-
-that is the great spring
of happy quotations."
C. E. Montague

the only reason
to be alive
is to enjoy it. "

Not really,
but I like the
feel-y
of the words,
like curds -
so satisfying,
deep self flying
in that Realm
at the helm
of this craft
of which I'm
captain-of-the
-infinite-sea
(fore and aft)
this jolly vessel
called "ME."
Wonderful to see
Y O U!
There are no straight lines in nature, so I'm for the curves. Sorry!

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the header of Lines and Curves, I immediately thought of you!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful photos & nice post.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Assam, India
Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this website. It's simple,
ReplyDeleteyet effective. A lot of times it's very hard to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and appearance. I must say that you've done a superb job
with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely fast for me on
Firefox. Outstanding Blog!

Oh I beg to differ...curves and intellect make a wonderful twosome, add a sense of humour and you have a blissful menage a trois :)
ReplyDeletei love that first quote! :)
ReplyDeleteI think that both genders have lines and curves... Women do have amazing intellects and men have pretty strong emotions. I like the quote about enjoying life; that's the really important thing, and you gotta enjoy its lines and curves with your lines and curves ;)
ReplyDeleteLines of intellect and Curves of emotion? What a clever play of words!! But I'm not sure I agree! Haha!
ReplyDeleteHi, jolly vessel, happy sailing!
ReplyDeleteI’m not sure I agree with Joyce, I’m not even sure that lines cannot be curves.
have a great day
ReplyDeleteapparently James Joyce wasn't all that bright.
ReplyDeletelove your flower photos!
ReplyDeleteso much beauty!
alohaaa!!!!!
And I thought, that curves were lines too.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Wednesday you all.
Ah the first quote does follow my mother's idea that a man's emotions are like a water faucet. They turn them on, and turn them off! It's as simple as that! I also am so happy to be alive!
ReplyDeleteOh, that Joyce! Let's start with the basic fact that he was perpetually horny and looking for curves!
ReplyDeleteI like Rita Mae Brown's books and I love her quote.
ReplyDeleteIntellect versus emotion Cloudia - now that's a thorny problem.
ReplyDeleteGood to see so much nature in Hawaii streets ...
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Cloudia.
