How do you

eat

an elephant?

One bite at a time.

A certain type of person

makes one bad choice

after another.

They toss trash

over their shoulder,

out of sight

out of mind,

until the day

when they must

turn around;

Then they see

a pile of ugly.

Everyone else

already smelled it

all along.

Another sort of person,

does the thing at hand

lovingly

with care.

They are not looking

to the audience for 

applause;

Until the day

when they look up

to see the tower

of gold that

they have built.

Is the task in 

Your Hand

-right now-

trash to dispose

or a bird's wing

to heal?

Most of us have

two piles.

I know which one

of my piles

I hope

is taller!
