Shame Shame - Go Away

A  L  O  H  A !
" The books
that the world calls
immoral
are books that
show the world
its own shame. "

Oscar Wilde

" What do you regard

as most humane?

To spare someone

shame. "

Friedrich Nietzsche

"The only shame is to have none."

Blaise Pascal

" It is the false shame

of fools

to try to conceal

wounds

that have not

healed. "

Horace

Shame is a lousy teacher.

All you remember

is the humiliation;

Overshadowing

any other learning

in the life and heart

of the learner.

What shame do you still carry?

That is a worthwhile question.

You may not wish to share it

but self - honesty

is the road to Your

Freedom; And Power.

  1. I don't think we can go through life without doing something we regret. It is part of the learning experience and causes introspection, and hopefully it teaches us to be kinder. Have a wonderful day Cloudia :)

  3. Love the burning sunset colors. The buildings are holding up the cloud shelf in your next photo. I knew plants were waterproof, but those big drops are amazing. Must be cautious not to tease people if it turns into shame. I don't think I do that....DrumMajor

  7. I've definitely felt shame and regret over some decisions I've made - it bothered me more when I was younger, I think. Now I feel like it helped me learn (just a wee) bit more about myself.

  12. You have captured another glorious sky - thank you.
Shame is unpleasant - but I have learnt from it, so will keep it. If I knew where my guilt button was I would disconnect that one though...
