You May Be an Empath If

A  L  O  H  A !

YOU may be an Empath if you -

Just know stuff, without being told. It’s a knowing that goes beyond intuition or gut feelings. You just know it.

Being in public places can be overwhelming: Places where there are lots of people around can fill the empath with turbulent emotions from others.

Watching violence, cruelty or tragedy on the TV is unbearable. Empaths may stop following the daily news/politics.

You know when someone is not being honest.

You're always looking out for the underdog: Anyone who is suffering, in emotional pain, or being bullied draws your attention and compassion.

Others will want to offload their problems on you, even strangers

Often fatigued from all the inner processing?

Addictive personality, to block out the emotions of others.
A form of self protection. Sorry

Drawn to healing, holistic therapies and all things metaphysical. Anything of a supernatural nature is of interest to empaths and they don’t surprise or get shocked easily. Even at the revelation of what many others would consider unthinkable.

Creative: singing, dancing, acting, drawing or writing.

Love of nature and animals: Being outdoors in nature is a must for empaths and pets are an essential part of their life.

Need for solitude: An empath is not happy without quiet time.

You get bored or distracted easily and end up daydreaming or doodling.

It is almost impossible to do things they don’t enjoy. You may be labelled lazy.

You strive for the truth. Anything untruthful feels plain wrong.

Always looking for the answers and knowledge. The downside to this is an information overload.

 Empaths are free spirits.

Abhor clutter: It makes an empath feel weighed down.

Anything that takes away your freedom is debilitating.

You love to learn and know about others and genuinely care.

Intolerance to narcissism: Although kind and often very tolerant of others, empaths do not like to be around overly egotistical people, who put themselves first and refuse to consider others feelings or points of view.

Do you feel the days of the week: An empath will get the ‘Friday Feeling’ whether they work Fridays or not.

You pick up on how the collective are feeling. The first couple of days of a long, bank holiday weekend (Easter for example) can feel, to them, like the world is smiling, calm and relaxed. Sunday evenings, Mondays and Tuesdays, of a working week, have a very heavy feeling.

You do not choose to buy vintage or second-hand: Anything that’s been pre-owned carries the energy of the previous owner. An empath will even prefer to have a brand new car or house (if in the financial situation to do so) with no residual energy.

Can appear moody, shy, aloof, disconnected

If you can say yes to most or all of the above then you are probably an empath

Me Too!

Thanks
 for coming to our
Saturday empath party today.

  5. I think I am, or am I? Maybe, most of the time. I'm confused. Just need a whiff of the pink whispy clouds to clear my brain, along with ocean breezes. (Surviving snow in May has some PTSD maybe.) DrumMajor

  10. Hmmmm....dear Cloudia.Interesting post.I am very much an empath, I guess, although I do buy second hand and am not terribly over crowded by previous owners energies. Instead I can live with it/them. Everything else tho--spot on.

    Food for thought...

  14. Wow. That's me, all of it. Where did you find all of this information? I'm a little stunned to find myself described to a "t" this way. Who knew it all had a name?
