H E R E !
Ersatz Emergency!
Godzilla 2014 is filming
here in Waikiki.
'
There's already a LOT of "destruction."
People are talking about
the crushed helicopter,
the crushed helicopter,
the walking wounded,
and there are plans
to basically destroy my neighborhood
for the delight of movie audiences.
It will be pretty cool
to hear that weird scream
as I watch the giant foot
crush my neighbors,
familiar buildings
and landmarks.
We've seen invasions before:
Kamehameha
1792
US Marines
1893
Imperial Japanese Navy
1941
Hordes of Tourists
Post WWII Jet-Age
Hawaii 50
1968
LOST
2004
And now
THIS!!!!!
Waikiki Will survive
=^..^=

ReplyDeleteWell it will be this week. Yours sincerely.
You get Godzilla we get Transformers. either way mas destruction for movie goers will happen. Only thing is i don't think they plan on removing the effluvia after they are done filming.
ReplyDeleteha. well i imagine its fun to watch them make movie magic, just hope they put it all back when they are done...and you got that in writing...smiles.

I hope the movie-making does not modify the incredible beauty that is Hawaii!
ReplyDeleteWaikiki Strong! Oh yes you are! Hopefully all the hoopla will not harm anything. It will be exciting on our end to catch all that you capture along the way!
ReplyDeletePretty pictures and a happy film, I think.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I hope Godzilla will behave himself but from his past reputation I think he's going to be very naughty ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Cloudia, another great post :)
Maybe you can audition for a part. Practice your screaming. Or better yet, maybe they'll hire you to take beautiful pictures to promote the film. Nothing like getting paid to do what you love.
ReplyDeleteAnother Godzilla! Oh please say it ain't so.
ReplyDeleteOh wow that's a little bit exciting and kinda intrusive at the same time oui! How many times are they going to remake that movie I wonder :)
ReplyDeleteI always am weary of big feet ;)
ReplyDeleteWow!! So many invasions? And now Godzilla? LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks friends.
ReplyDeleteSend the militia (and Raymond Burr - TVs Perry Mason was in the original film :-)
Be a movie extra! Have some very big drinks ready and some soothing music for the monster; maybe this version will tame the beast. DrumMajor
