Come Inside and Rest a Moment
Let Yourself Catch Up With You
"I love my past.
I love my present.
I'm not ashamed
of what I've had
and I'm not sad
because I no longer
have it."
Colette
At Year's End
we naturally think
of loved ones passed
Old feelings arise,
old demons
Emotions can become vast,
busy, confusing
Somehow
we have the Rock,
the Light, the Guide
we need
to avoid the rocks
Each Year
we cling more wistfully
to lovelier,
more fleeting
Moments
=^..^=
One of my main
daily lights
is this blog,
especially YOU
the amazing souls
who find Your way
here to visit.

The good memories fill one with pride. The bad memories are not good enough to do that.
ReplyDeleteYou're a bright light also, Cloudia.
ReplyDeleteI keep many good memories of people who are not around anymore.
ReplyDeleteyou speak the truth, dear.
ReplyDeleteYou add something special to my day, Cloudia. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMake memories! Run around crazy makin' lots of good and funny memories. It's amazing how simple, funny, unplanned events make such wonderful memories to to relive a jillion years later. Did I tell you about the time I was riding in a car, and tried to throw melting ice from my soda cup out the window?...but the window was closed when I thought it was open.
ReplyDeleteProfoundly, maybe painful, but pleasant to remember good times with peoples and pets in our lives.
Mahalo for sharing another photo of Pirate Kitty gettin' fluffy in the sun.

ReplyDeleteYour beautiful post has me wistfully smiling. It's a busy, hectic time of year and it's good to stop and appreciate everyone around us. It's good to count our blessings past and present.
