  5. 60 isn't looking so bad if elderly is 15 years beyond. Perception and perspective, eh?

  11. You always find such a great selection of quotations – I have copied quite a few from your blog into my Quotation Documents. I looked and the last two quotations I copied in there, but I don’t think they came from your blog as they were in French. They had been translated into French from the original Mark Twain. I shall re-translate them for you, but I don’t think I’ll use them on my blog as I would upset my US readers, even if it was one of their own who wrote them. Here -

“ Dieu a créé la guerre afin que les Américains apprennent la géographie » (God created war so that Americans would learn geography) - Marc Twain, and

"Ce fut admirable de découvrir l'Amérique mais ç'aurait été mieux de passer à côté" (It was wonderful to discover America, but it would have been more wonderful to miss it.) - Marc Twain. He certainly had a sense of humour!

  18. Thanks for making me smile. Let's hear it for the young at heart. May they (we) be merciful on the young who have aged too soon.
