" If your heart is a volcano,
 how shall you expect
 flowers to bloom? "

Khalil Gibran

" Why should I be unhappy?
 Every parcel of my being
is in full bloom. "

Rumi

" How does the Meadow flower
its bloom unfold?
Because the lovely little flower
is free down to its root,
and in that freedom bold. "

William Wordsworth

" What, I sometimes wonder,
would it be like if I lived in a country
where winter is a matter of a few chilly days
and a few weeks' rain;
where the sun is never far away,
and the flowers bloom all year long? "

Anna Neagle

It's WONDERFUL, Anna!

" For me its balmy airs are always blowing,
its summer seas flashing in the sun;
the pulsing of its surf-beat in my ear. . .
in my nostrils still lives the breath of flowers
that perished twenty years ago. "

Mark Twain [on Hawaii]
 Paradise of the Pacific, April 1910

  5. Lovely Friday flowers!

    I'm playing golf in the high mountain desert north of Las Vegas. There are some pretty red flowers I didn't get a picture of yesterday. I'll try it today.

  15. Beautiful collection from your seaside floral abundance, especially the white hibiscus with bits of pink. And just as Twain figured, the nose has a memory! DrumMajor
