Having Your Desire

A   L   O   H   A !
" Acceptance
Does Not Mean
To Condone. "
                  Eckhart Tolle

“ Do not spoil
what you have
by desiring
what you have
 not;
remember that
 what you now have
was once among
 the things
you only hoped for.”
                          Epicurus

Common Waxbill Estrilda astrild

“ The wealth
required by nature
is limited and is easy
to procure;
but the wealth required
by vain ideals
extends to infinity.”

What Is YOUR Desire?

How Will It Feel
To Achieve
Your Desire?

Explore
That Feeling.

Try It On.

Wear That Feeling
Like A Beloved
New Garment
Until The Feeling
Is The Way
You Feel.

Feel It;
Live It.

You Are Having
Your Desire
Or It Is Having
You-

Drawing To Itself
To You
More
Of The Desirable.

Others Will Desire
Your Presence.

Don't Worry
You Will Not
Be Diminished
By Sharing,
But Replenished.

  1. Buddha said that suffering comes from desire or craving.

You gave good advice, Cloudia. Tempering desire with reality makes for a happier person.

  5. I frequently do imagine living my dream life. In many ways I have it. In other ways I've still got far to go.

  18. What a dear little bird that waxbill is. I have never heard of them before. I am assuming it is small by the way although I don't really have too much way of telling its size.
    Have a lovely week!

  21. Excellent thoughts and quotes.

Desires and dreams are so important yet often tricky and complex as we close in.

...makes me think a bit about Paul Simon's words...'you know the nearer the destination the more your slip sliding away.'

  22. Beautifully expressed and wonderful quotes.
"Wear that feeling like a beloved new garment" so much is about perception and identity, not the actual object or achievement but how we feel about it.

  26. This is such a thoughtful, insightful post, Cloudia. I try not to desire too much since it doesn't bring me peace. I try to be grateful for what I am already blessed with. I try.
