"Things turn out best
for the people
who make the best
out of the way
things turn out. "
Art Linkletter
Sounds trivial
but deeply true
"Nothing
is particularly hard
if
you divide it
into small jobs. "
Henry Ford
This truth got me through
university . . . . and
Life!
" When a noble life
has prepared old age,
it reveals not decline
but immortality's
first days. "
Germaine De Stael

Threes & thirds
describe something,
ARE something
deep & fundamental.
The stool will not stand
without a third leg.
There is no Story
without
Beginning, Middle
& End.
Till age Thirty
we become/mold
ourselves,
prove ourselves
in the becoming,
acquire Skills
and Lessons.
From Thirty
to Sixty
we mate, create,
most reproduce,
raise young,
make family,
community and
continue to learn
to ripen;
We peak
physically
build wealth
and regrets.
From Sixty on
we synthesize,
we realize
our themes &
meanings:
the Truth about
ourselves
and our experience.
Confirmations
& Surprises.
Time to meditate
to dream,
to fully Feel
the Wonder of
Being Alive,
yea
in the shadows
of eternity.
And if we are
Lucky
we find one last boon
the chance to
Love
and Be Loved,
through person,
pet,
and planet.
Amen?
Thanks for visiting

Oh yeah I get it. You answered my asked question on my blog. Because my days of mating are surely done...so I must be now 61. Besides what kind of nut would have a kid when he's 60? Well come to think of it I sort of am having a kid today. What would Art say, he knew more kids than anyone I can think of---well except for maybe Bozo. I guess that would depend on ratings though...confusion.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful interpretation of the life cycle, Cloudia! It all comes together in the last part......
ReplyDeletethat henry ford quote is very fitting for him
ReplyDeleteA best friend taught me the 'secret' of make BIG jobs small. They always get done.
ReplyDeleteamen....and threes are a special number...they make for strength...we are given life...and much of it is what we make of it...and what we are blessed with along the way...love, kids, life....

I got a laugh out of Walking Man's comment- I saw a snarky columnist's post today about Mick Jagger still knocking up models after seventy.
