Sincerity

A  L  O  H  A !
"Sincerity
 makes the very least
person
to be of more value
than the most
talented hypocrite."
                                             CHARLES SPURGEON

"Men
can be analyzed,
women
merely adored. "
                            Oscar Wilde

Sounds right to me!

"As I get older,
 I realize that
 the thing I value
 the most is
good-heartedness."
                               Alice Walker

"Most of the change
we think we see
in life is due
to truths being
in and out
 of favor."
         Robert Frost

" Truth is eternal,
Knowledge is changeable.
It is disastrous
to confuse them. "
 Madeleine L'Engle

  1. I have to answer Frost and L'Englw with Sandburg

Simply because Frost and Sandburg did not care for each other. Frost though Sandburg an ass and Sandburg (my hero) though Frost anal.

    WHO AM I?

MY head knocks against the stars.
My feet are on the hilltops.
My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of
    universal life.
Down in the sounding foam of primal things I
reach my hands and play with pebbles of
    destiny.
I have been to hell and back many times.
I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.
I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.
I know the passionate seizure of beauty
And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs
    reading "Keep Off."

My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive
    in the universe.

    Carl Sandburg

  6. Wow! I like the question you leave us about truth and knowledge. I also liked the quote about sincerity. Not sure about Oscar Wilde... putting women on a pedestal has always been a way of marginalizing them. How can they make meaningful contributions to society in a male world when they are supposed to just be looking lovely and receiving adoration?

  8. Am I the only one who sees a bird shaped cloud(ia) in that last image? It puts me in mind of a golden roardrunner tearing off to the right.

  9. Someone I once worked with insisted that 'the secret to success is sincerity. Once you can fake that you have it made...'
Sadly she was (on some levels) considered successful. Not by me.
