“ We who are so lucky
as to be born into
the light—
who see it every day
and never think about it,
we’re blessed.
We could have been born
shadow souls
who live and die
in crimson darkness,”
L. J. Smith
“ Being in a hurry.
Getting to the next thing
without fully entering
the thing in front of me.
I cannot think
of a single advantage
I've ever gained
from being in a hurry. -
" - But a thousand broken
and missed things,
tens of thousands,
lie in the wake
of all the rushing....
" -Through all that haste
I thought
I was making up
time. -
"- It turns out
I was throwing it away. ”

Interesting visuals with the image getting wider screen as you go on to finally show the whole message.
ReplyDelete'Making up time' WHAT the heck is that? IMPOSSIBLE!
ReplyDeleteyou're using that poster well!
ReplyDeleteI am rather intrigued by the thought of crimson darkness... Does that mean I'm evil?
ReplyDeleteI like the quote about being in a hurry. It is really true.
The picture of the shadows is so wonderful, as is seeing what really made that strange, alien-looking shadow.
I'm surprised you didn't pull out some quotes from Plato's Republic about shadows flickering on the wall of the cave...
It's a mistake to try to save time. It spoils the enjoyment and preciousness of each moment "saved." Your posts are a joy to read. Cloudia. And, even more, to take away something from them.
ReplyDeletePlato, yes. Thanks to each of you! 💜
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your posting today!
ReplyDeleteAloha Cloudia, it does speak a volume many folks need only to tune in to know. It's always about the journey no matter what, especially when you move into the unknown! New places, or just new eyes.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your captures of random people strolling about too.
ReplyDeleteI do love savouring my time with you.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have used the poster!
ReplyDeleteAloha. Time is to be savored well, not saved.
ReplyDeleteWonderful use of that banner, Cloudia!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I had today free. It was hard to manage! I felt guilty.
ReplyDeleteThanks each of YOU!
ReplyDeleteIt astounds me the amount of money that's spent on time saving technology, when that time AND resource could be used to help the millions around the world who have nothing.. the world is a CRAZY place right now, priorities out the window!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until the shadow of my hurry slows down this week- Like this Post!
ReplyDeleteAloha!
