Sleep the Healer - No Fooling

A  L  O  H  A   from   Honolulu!
" Not until just before dawn
do people sleep best;
not until people get old
do they become wise.
One is never too old to learn. "
                                 Chinese Proverb

" Silence is the sleep
that nourishes wisdom. "
                                 Sir Francis Bacon

" Don't try to
solve serious matters
in the middle
of the night. "
                       Philip K. Dick

" You can't wake
 a person who is
pretending to
be asleep. "
                  Navajo Proverb

" Bad sleep ‘dramatically’
alters the body...
A run of poor sleep can
have a potentially profound effect
on the internal workings
of the human body "
                              UK researchers

Studies show that people
who don't get quality sleep
or enough sleep are more likely to get sick
after being exposed to a virus, such as
the common cold. Lack of sleep
can also affect how fast
you recover if you do get sick.

" Sleep, rest of things,
O pleasing Deity,
Peace of the soul,
which cares dost crucify,
Weary bodies refresh
and mollify. "
                   Ovid

Before we leave
the night completely
[or at least for
another day]
I would be remiss
if I did not
PRAISE
the Master Healer
S L E E P.

A change in my sleep
routine is yielding
wonderful results;
After age 50
we blame things
on "age."

But getting just
2 nights of
great sleep
has me feeling
like a Spring Lamb.

BAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Are YOU getting
enough healing
S L E E P?

             Fondly, cloudia

  2. Cloudia, I'll keep this in mind. We need a certain amount of sleep each day.

The little robot with CAPTCHA is cute. An April 1 trick?

  4. I notice in weeks where I have a day or two that I can sleep in and get 8 hours I feel much better on all fronts.

  5. I always feel better after an uninterrupted night of sleep. Unfortunately I am not the greatest sleeper. Gorgeous photos and great quotes. Have a great day Cloudia!

  6. Funny that you ask that, apparently so once you read my post of today! Great minds travel the same road with just a wee bit of a twist! Aloha, sleep and dream well.

  10. I got up this morning thinking about when I could go back to bed tonight! So I guess I need more sleep.

  11. Nope. Not enough sleep. Not by a long way. Insomnia has moved in, and starting decorating so all your quotes today had particular relevance.

  12. The Navajo proverb really speaks to me! Every once in awhile I have a bad night, but most nights I sleep pretty well.
