“ Dwell on
the beauty of life.
Watch the stars,
and see yourself
running with them.”
Marcus Aurelius
Why
am I taking this picture?
When would it
EVER be
appropriate
to use it?
The gate is open! It's never open.
Gotta shoot THAT.
But what am I ever
going to do with
these toilet pictures?
Just then,
I noticed a fellow
working in the yard.
He saw me shooting,
and rushed over -
NOT to throw me out;
But to POSE!
The photo below
is the reason
for this entire post -
No offence! OK?
Strangers
are just friends
you haven't
met yet
“ We sometimes encounter people,
even perfect strangers,
who begin to interest us
at first sight, somehow
suddenly, all at once,
before a word
has been spoken. ”
Fydor Dostoevsky

Thank You!

I think the toilet picture is funny. Here where there are 80,000 abandoned mostly stripped properties it seems the scrappers always dismounted the toilets and left them at the front door. It too is ever a curious sight. Unlike your toilet and friend i have yet to see anyone using an abandoned toilet in the front door of an abandoned house.
ReplyDeleteI think that the toilet pictures are hilarious! It's so nice to see a complete stranger agree to become complicit in the sequence by willingly assume an awkward pose. He shared your sense of the incongruous!
ReplyDeleteTee hee. Very funny post today, Cloudia. Yes, I am giggling out loud. ;))
ReplyDeleteHello Cloudia, your toilet photos had me giggling this morning. What a nice stranger to pose for your photo. He must have a great sense of humor. Great post, thanks for the laugh.. Have a happy day!

ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh out loud with this one Cloudia :) what about the flush :)
ReplyDeleteI would have looked before sitting down as I would be afraid someone might have used the toilet. But it is a funny photo and shows another side of paradise
ReplyDeleteYou know, there may be a market for a book of toilet pics. Toilets of the wild, maybe.
ReplyDeletewhat a great sport! thanks for the great laugh! :)
ReplyDeleteLol! I wouldn't want to use this toilet in the open? The model for your toilet photo is so sporting to pose for you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful series of shots! That guy was so funny. At least the gate was open, so people could access the commode in an emergency. When ya gotta go, ya gotta go...
ReplyDeleteAt least the guy's got a sense of humour!
ReplyDeleteThe firts quote made me dreaming:)
ReplyDeleteI use my old toilet bowl for my plants. Lovely too:)
Anyway, you had a nice memory there.
Thanks for visiting my blog:)

ReplyDeleteThat guy is a hoot, Cloudia!
ReplyDeleteLove the look in your new friend's eyes.
ReplyDeleteAnd his and your sense of humour.
Too funny. We sometimes encounter people, even perfect strangers, who begin to interest us at first sight, somehow suddenly, all at once,
ReplyDeletebefore a word has been spoken. ”
