Hokule`a

A  L  O  H  A !
 Hokule`a is 
the voyaging canoe that proved 
that Hawaiians
journeyed here on purpose
centuries ago.

She restored part of the 
Hawaiian Soul,
continuing the journey
today.

Fitting to see her
on an auto-body shop
in an industrial area
of Honolulu.

She belongs
to the 
Hawaiian People!

    This image captures so much pride in Hawaiian culture and history. I'm in awe that these intrepid adventurers took to sea somehow knowing they would encounter a new land. An amazing feat. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
