The first morning
of 2016
I woke up and saw
the first bird
we've ever seen
on the dock.
The gull above
blessed with her
presence,
but did not
baptize with
mementos.
A good omen
I'd say!
What have you
already noticed
in 2016?
Thank You
for Visiting!

Watching a flock of blue jays now in the back yard after I've fed them.
ReplyDeleteI am always surprised how big they are.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
This gull looks quite stoic.
ReplyDeleteFunny that you ask, for I've been thinking about this one thing non-stop. How my wild rabbits are making fine use of all the paths I have carved throughout our snow! They don't normally do that as much as yesterday and today..... so sweet to witness!
ReplyDeleteGREAT seeing each of YOU! THANKS
ReplyDeleteSo far this year? I have been revelling in the changes in light. And watching the clouds, hoping they would bless us with rain. Not yet.
ReplyDeletePretty images, the lighting is perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove the quotes.
Love the quotes today!! Glad the bird was polite and didn't leave any mementos... ;)
ReplyDeleteTake us on a cruise, Captain!

ReplyDeleteI'd say seeing a bird first thing was a very good omen! I can't remember what I saw first. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteCan't remember what I saw first but had a great brunch with family!
ReplyDeleteA good way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteMerle..........
Beautiful pics and post.
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Oh now see I thought it was the bird 'memento' that was the lucky omen :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for adding your link this weekend at I'd Rather B Birdin'.
ReplyDeleteGreen hills getting greener is what I've noticed. Love it!
ReplyDeleteA great year's beginning!
