“Living in a small town...is
like living in a large family
of rather uncongenial relations.
Sometimes it’s fun, and
sometimes it’s perfectly awful,
but it’s always good for you.
People in large towns
are like only-children.”

ReplyDeletelovely post as usual. that first picture caught my eye. so impressive!
big hugs!
Living in the slums of Detroit I don't feel like an only child although as they continue to empty out i may soon be the only resident.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Cloudia! What a cute town. I like the colorful buildings. Great quotes! Happy Sunday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteNice meeting you all at the general store! Thanks, neighbors!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute town! And lots of fall colors, too...
ReplyDeleteI guess I grew up just outside of a small town
ReplyDeleteWonderful buildings! I grew up in Toronto, a large city. I cannot stand our small town here. I'm much happier in our wetland! Love your buildings.
ReplyDeleteNice shoots as always Cloudia

I am so impressed with the additional perspective that embiggening your photos gives. How do you do that?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, on the small town front. Warmer, more welcoming. And often much, much more nosey.
The church is my favourite among these shots.
ReplyDeleteLove the neon sign, Cloudia! I've always been in a big city so can't compare it to a small town but a neighbourhood in a city becomes a town where you know most people by sight. I sometimes wish I could go for a walk and not meet anyone I know or sit in the park anonymously.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dears! <3
ReplyDeleteThere is a quaintness about a small town. What was written in my sky today? A rainbow of hope.
ReplyDeletelooks really nice.
ReplyDeleteThat was a beautiful virtual tour of Larkspur!!
