Marsh Hawk

A  L  O  H  A !
" I know a hawk
from a handsaw.”
                Shakespeare

Indeed!
That beauty is a
Marsh Hawk,
also called a
Northern Harrier
sunning on my fence.

" If that I could but clothe me
in raiment like to thine,
and strip my feet, and
revel in the mud
once, just once, with
none to rebuke me
or forbid, meseemeth
I could forego
the crown!"
                Twain

"I was always looking
outside myself for
strength and confidence
but it comes from within.
It was there all the time."
                        Anna Freud

"If you see Mt. Fuji,
a hawk, and
an eggplant on
New Year's Day,
you will be
forever blessed."
            Japanese Proverb

I certainly
felt lucky!

  10. There are many harriers that live in the area near our house. I don't think I've ever seen any quite so close...or so beautiful. Wonderful shots!
